1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FlareCanary ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FlareCanary is an API schema monitoring service that detects changes in third-party API responses and notifies you of drift. The Service polls API endpoints you configure and compares response schemas over time.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not use the Service for illegal purposes or to monitor APIs in violation of their terms of service.

4. Service Tiers & Limitations

FlareCanary offers Free, Starter, and Pro tiers with different endpoint limits and polling intervals. We reserve the right to modify tier limits with 30 days' notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to overload or abuse third-party API endpoints
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or 100% detection accuracy. FlareCanary is a monitoring tool, not a replacement for your own API integration testing.

7. Limitation of Liability

FlareCanary shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages from missed drift detections or service outages.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
